As the flowers start appearing and the sun slowly starts to remind us how it feels on our skin its got me thinking about all the fun activities to do this spring with my little ones.
We love nothing more than getting outside and exploring the beautiful landscapes Cornwall has to offer, we don't have to venture far to find beauty and we often don't have to spend money to enjoy it either.
Lanhydrock Gardens and Pump Track (bike trail)

With something to offer for the whole family this national trust property promises both beautiful gardens and fun for the kids. Bring their balance bikes or hire them there and explore the many trails they have to offer. They've created a little mini loop for toddlers and then slightly more challenging sections for bigger kids and adults.
After you've hit up to bike trails you can head over to the cafe for a drink while the kids enjoy the large playground, situated opposite the cafe it allows you to find a comfy seat while they can play!
Free- just pay to park (unless you're a national trust member then thats also free)

Cardinham Woods and Julia Donaldson book Trails
Following the bike theme Cardinham woods offers an amazing space to get some energy out, nestled amongst amazing pines and full of wildlife these trails are great for biking, scooting, and dog walking so bring the pooch!
The walks are all clearly labelled so you know how long the walk is and how hard it is before you start (a lifesaver when you have little ones) Another great incentive is the Gruffalo trail and the newly made Room on The Broom trail. Spread out just the right amount so they can spot different characters along the way with activity sheets available to purchase from the entrance hut.
Finish up at the woodland park right next to the cafe which serves Yallah coffee (a true highlight for me) and great kids lunch options. Our dog highly rates the pup menu and often gets a sausage off of it at the end of our walk.
Free to walk- Pay to park (unless you're a forestry england member then its free)
Cawsand and Kingsand Day Out

We often head to this part of the coast as its such a beautiful spot with lots to offer. You can park at the top by the pirate ship playground to get some zoomies out of the kids.
Then walk your way down towards Kingsand harbour where you'll find a lovely shop (The Stores) with GREAT takeaway coffee.
Grab one of those and head down to the beach with buckets and spades, exploring the rock pools. Once you've seen it all on this beach make your way on foot across to Cawsand, where you'll find another little cove bustling with cafes and beach restaurants and the Cawsand ferry which takes you across to The Barbican in Plymouth. Either hop on that or grab an ice cream and watch the fun way people get onboard.

Zero Gravity Saltash

One of my favourite wet weather go to, think soft play but cleaner and less overwhelming.
This gymnastic based centre has created the ultimate soft play/ninja/gymnastics energy burner for your little ones. With a giant foam pit and bouncy floors it creates a really fun environment for kids of all ages.
It has a section for under 5's so they can play safely away from the bigger ones that are running around like Parkour fanatics.
They have more sessions throughout holidays but its mainly just on weekends in term time.
Under 5s soft play area only (£3.50)
2.5 hour session of open play £5 for under 4's £10 for over 5's)
Millbrook Skatepark & Playground

Newly built and perfect for little ones this skate park and playground combo could give you hours of fun. Take a picnic and make a day of it. Load the car with scooter and bikes and head over.
Stop off at Maker Heights Canteen for some yummy cake on the way home.
